Programme

Edition 2009 : a scientific programme of outstanding quality

The scientific programme of this congress was of an exceptional standard thanks to the participation and the dynamic involvement of numerous scientists that had presented their abstracts since the month of January.
Nearly 700 abstracts were submitted allowing the traditional themes of the Congress to be addressed: biology, pathology, pollination, technology, economy, apitherapy and rural development, as well as a focus placed on a truly disturbing phenomenon detected throughout the world: the decline of bee colonies with, on occasion, excessive mortality of bees.
Thanks to all the researchers and in particular those who honoured the congress with their presence and provided lectures during the 4 days, supplying valuable insights and allowing numerous exchanges.

As the scientific information was originally provided in English, you will find that the documents are submitted in the official language of the Congress in this summary report, i.e. English. We would have liked to provide French, Spanish and German versions however this represented a significant translation challenge, required the intervention of specialists as well as the investment of a considerable amount of time and financial resources, which we cannot incorporate.
